2003 - Best Overall Floral Art Section
With a theme of peace, love and new beginnings, the winning entry was a golden globe of hope with bare willow branches entwined on top to represent communication between world inhabitants. Entwined around, in a loving embrace, are flowers and foliage from all climatic regions representing acceptance, fellowship and love between all people.
2001 - BEST EXHIBIT IN SHOW A natural vegetative arrangement was judged Best Overall in Show, against all other sections, cut flowers, produce, photography, art etc.
2004 - ST DAVID'S CATHEDRAL HOBART FLORAL EXTRAVAGANZA Each year, the church celebrates with a floral spectacular represented by all the Floral Art groups in Tasmania. The contribution on behalf of the Derwent Valley Garden Club was simplicity in contrast. Parallel Arum seed heads stand erect in a stark, moss lined dish with copper wire entwined for movement.
