Summer School in Paris 2005   Frank Pieper (Germany)
FRANK PIEPER (Germany) Winner of the Dresden Golden Rose in 1996, now works freelance and regularly participates in International events including IFLO Essen, IPM, GAFA Koein and Ambiente Frankfurt. He is famous for his knowledge of the flower industry, his artistic tendencies and exceptional creativity. Inspirational Workshops with Frank were about construction and innovation. Bleached Mitsamata sticks were wired so that the construction would stand, then placed in a plastic garden saucer into which hot wax was poured. When set, test tubes were wired into the construction and flowers inserted in an asymetrical placement. This is a great design because spent flowers can be replaced.
The spiky balls were spray painted and coloured bamboo was inserted so that the balls could stand. A test tube housed the single anthurium. This is a great look for a function such as a wedding as the repetition reinforces the look but allows sufficient space for the food.

Picture 3 demonstrates the success of repetition. Any round object, such as apples, oranges etc. are suitable.
